This striking carving, set in a realistic scene  among hand made copper reeds, measures 21" from tail to beak and stands 17 1/2" tall. The bird is hand carved from basswood and painted with acrylic colors. It is mounted on a hand carved and hand painted wooden base. Glass eyes and the feet are hand made from modeling putty. I signed this bird.
